What is SNP?

SNP is an organisation set up on the initiative of the Dutch industry related to port development, transport and civil engineering. It is supported by the Rotterdam Municipal Port Management, the Netherlands Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The aim of SNP is to promote the relevant Dutch industry in China and where relevant to co-ordinate Dutch initiatives.

SNP member organisations

SNP has officially been established in September 2002, and has member organisations, which bring together the state of the art in port planning, port development, transportation and civil engineering. The members belong to the key players in the Netherlands in this fields, but in SNP also a member of smaller, specialised companies participate. As such SNP comprises or expertise possibly required.

Advantage of SNP

SNP provides an extensive and complete overview of Dutch expertise and experience in the field of port development, transport and civil engineering. As such it can act as a first contact point for Chinese parties interested in specific expertise. SNP can select Dutch enterprises able to provide the required expertise and knowledge, and quickly establish a direct contact between the Chinese party and the Dutch company.

As such it will significantly shorten the lead time for the Chinese party in the search for the right company.

SNP is set up specifically to better, faster and more efficiently provide the Chinese parties with relevant Dutch expertise.

SNP network

SNP has a close relation with the Netherlands Consulate-General in Shanghai as well as the Rotterdam Commercial Representative Office in Shanghai.

SNP has Chinese speaking staff and advisors, so as to ease the contacts with Chinese parties.
